Each has a team of Wedding Coordinators dedicated to assisting you prior to and on your big day. To ensure that your day is special and remians your day, at Beachcomber Hotels, we guarantee only ONLY ONE WEDDING PER DAY will take place at each resort. You have the choice of your venue - on teh beach, by the pool, in the gardens, and you have the choice of what time you would like your ceremony. This also means our Wedding Coordinators remain focused in dedicating their services to you and your wedding only. Your wedding in Mauritius, with assistance of our expert team, is not only easy to arrange, but is also a very affordable option for both you and your guests. Wedding fees start from as little as $650 (subject to change) and include so much, and you may even be able to get your wedding fees free of charge (see below). Basic Wedding Procedures (applicable to all resorts) Before leaving Australia, we will ensure you have all of your paperwork completed and we will forward this to the Wedding Coordinators at your selected hotel. After you arrive in Mauritius, your Wedding Co-ordinator meet with you to discuss details regarding all procedures for your wedding including the legal requirements, location, time and any extras required. Your wedding co-ordinator can a variety of extras (payable in Mauritius) including:
At least three days prior to your wedding date, you will be taken to the Registrar General's office in Port Louis. All of your original documentation and all affidavits will then be checked by the Attorney of Law. You will then go to the Supreme Court to swear your affidavit. Under Mauritian law, if the Bride-to-Be is previously divorced and wanting to marry within 10 months of the ‘Decree of Divorce’ she must under-go a pregnancy test . If under these circumstances the test is positive, the civil marriage cannot be celebrated in Mauritius. The cost of the pregnancy test is at the client's own expense. Two witnesses are needed for the wedding and these can be provided by the hotel if required. Subject to availability, a room will be made available for the Groom to change on the day of wedding.
